"All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out otheir dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.”
-T.E. Lawrence

  2. if i'm interpreting the quote correctly--he is speaking about "bad" dreams. As in, dreams of killing the boss we can't stand, dreams of stealing the tv we want etc.. i don't know, i'm guessing that because of his use of the word "dangerous"
It reminds me of Macbeth--two men have the same illusion, one doesn't want to go to sleep anymore because he doesn't want to have any more dreams about doing bad things, the other charges forward and acts it out. one realizes what we "dream" is vanity and not necessarily meant to be acted out.
I hope this doesnt put a damper on this quote! I'm not a negative person, i'm just interpreting the quote

  5. now that is a fine quote. However, if everyone who dreamed during the day acted upon their dreams, this world be a much lazier and dangerous place.

    We're all lazy, we are.
