Lyrics to SAY - John Mayer
Take out of your wasted honor
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so called problems
Better put them in quotations
Say what you need to say
Walkin like a one man army
Fightin with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you’d be better off instead If you could only
Say what you need to say
Have no fear for giving over
You better know that in the end its better to say too much
Than to never to say what you need to say again
Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is brokenEven as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide openWhy?
Say what you need to say
Every little past frustration
Take all of your so called problems
Better put them in quotations
Say what you need to say
Walkin like a one man army
Fightin with the shadows in your head
Living out the same old moment
Knowing you’d be better off instead If you could only
Say what you need to say
Have no fear for giving over
You better know that in the end its better to say too much
Than to never to say what you need to say again
Even if your hands are shaking
And your faith is brokenEven as the eyes are closing
Do it with a heart wide openWhy?
Say what you need to say

Sonnet of the Sweet Complaint - Federico Garcia Lorca
Never let me lose the marvel
of your statue-like eyes, or the accent
the solitary rose of your breath
places on my cheek at night.
I am afraid of being, on this shore,
a branchless trunk, and what I most regret
is having no flower, pulp, or clay
for the worm of my despair.
If you are my hidden treasure,
if you are my cross, my dampened pain,
if I am a dog, and you alone my master,
never let me lose what I have gained,
and adorn the branches of your riverwith leaves of my estranged Autumn
of your statue-like eyes, or the accent
the solitary rose of your breath
places on my cheek at night.
